2016 Internet of Things Africa Summit & SMART Expo Postponed

The forthcoming Annual Internet of Things Africa Summit & SMART EXPO 2016 have been postponed from the 24 - 25 May 2016 to 6 - 7 July 2016 at the Sandton Convention Centre/Gallagher Convention Centre.

According to the organizer, the postponement is to make better preparations for a bigger and strategic venue that could accommodate guests to make the conference a success.

"We underestimated the response we would get from exhibition and delegate enquiries regarding the IoT Africa Summit & SMART Expo, hence we are now forced to move to a bigger, central and strategic venue", Conference Director of SMART Events, Tim Jones said in a statement issued on Friday.

"To align the summit to accommodate the schedules of related Government dignitaries from related Ministries, the nature and promise of our agenda requires participation from related Government Ministries to be a part of the IoT debate session and to be part of IoT Standards, Policy & Regulatory Framework discussions; and we will continue to circulate news and any other updates as we get into the final phase of the summit preparation", he said.

The conference is a gathering to discuss the Socio-Economic Impact & Potential of IoT in Africa - looking at the Opportunities, Challenges and Solutions.
