Adidas Offers $1 Million To Football Player That Breaks The 40-Yard Dash Record

adidas Football is offering $1 million to the eligible pro prospect who breaks football’s professionally recognized 40-yard dash record in the 2016 Adizero 5-Star 40 cleats slated for February 23-29.

The current record, according to Adidas, is 4.24 seconds by Chris Johnson and has stood for eight years.

History was almost made during the 2014 combine when draft prospect Dri Archer ran a 4.26. There have only been three more prospects to run the 40 in under 4.3 seconds. Marquise Goodwin (4.27) did it in 2013, DeMarcus Van Dyke (4.28) did it in 2011 and Jacoby Ford (4.28) in 2010.
