First Trustees to Host 8th Islamic Estate Planning Clinic in Abuja

First Trustees, a subsidiary of First HoldCo Plc. and a leading provider of trust solutions for individuals, corporates and government institutions, has announced plans to host its 8th Islamic Estate Planning Clinic in Abuja on February 7, 2026.

The forum is designed to educate and empower participants on effective Islamic wealth transfer in an increasingly complex and evolving environment. It will offer practical guidance on how individuals and families can secure, manage and preserve their legacies in line with Islamic principles, while ensuring responsible intergenerational wealth transfer.

The Islamic Estate Planning Clinic will focus on contemporary approaches to estate planning under Islamic law, addressing the need for structured solutions that balance faith-based obligations with modern financial realities. Participants are expected to gain deeper insight into safeguarding family wealth, promoting continuity and avoiding disputes through proper planning.

The event is being hosted in partnership with The Metropolitan Law Firm and will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers drawn from academia, law, finance and public service. Speakers include Professor Isah Ali Pantami, former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy; Professor Adam Abubakar, ESQ, Professor of Islamic Banking and Finance at Yobe State University; Professor Dauda Abubakar, Founder and Director of the Dawood Research Institute; and HE Aisha Babangida, Chairperson of the Better Life Program for the African Rural Woman.
