Rite Foods Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading food and beverage companies, has joined the global community in celebrating International Men’s Day (IMD) 2025, recognising the achievements and contributions of men in society. The annual observance also highlights critical issues affecting men, including health, well-being, and work-life balance.
This year’s theme, “Celebrating Men and Boys”, aligns with Rite Foods’ ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive. The company is using the occasion to spotlight the essential roles men play as fathers, leaders, colleagues, mentors, and change-makers, both within and beyond the workplace.
Commenting on the significance of International Men’s Day, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rite Foods Limited, Mr Seleem Adegunwa, emphasised the importance of balance and well-being for men in today’s fast-paced world.
“As we celebrate International Men’s Day, we honour the resilience, hard work and positive influence of men across our workforce and the communities we serve,” he said. “Rite Foods is proud to champion a culture where men feel seen, supported, and empowered to lead healthy, meaningful lives.”
Mr Adegunwa also highlighted that men, both within the organisation and across Nigeria, play pivotal roles as leaders, innovators, and contributors to family and community development—attributes that Rite Foods actively seeks to support and celebrate.
Also speaking on the occasion, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, reaffirmed the company’s appreciation for the dedication and hard work of its male employees, whose efforts continue to shape the organisation’s growth. He stressed that Rite Foods promotes a collaborative work environment, where shared learning and teamwork allow employees to thrive and contribute meaningfully to both corporate and societal progress.
Rite Foods continues to energise and refresh consumers, including men, through its expanding portfolio of quality brands. This includes 13 variants of Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Bigi Table Water, the award-winning Sosa Fruit Drink, Fearless Energy Drink, and its popular Bigi Flex, Rite, and Bigi Beef Sausages.
The company’s commitment to excellence has recently been recognised through several industry awards, including three honours at the 2025 Edge Awards: Outstanding Carbonated Soft Drink Brand of the Year – Bigi Apple; Outstanding Sausage Brand of the Decade – Bigi Beef Sausage Roll; and Outstanding FMCG Corporate Brand of the Year – Rite Foods Limited.
