LG Electronics has commissioned a solar-powered borehole and mobile laundry cabin in Abeokuta, delivering free access to safe drinking water and laundry services for local residents. The initiative highlights the company’s commitment to deploying sustainable technology that strengthens communities and enhances quality of life.
Designed to provide more than just infrastructure, the project combines care, innovation, and community dignity. The solar-powered borehole guarantees reliable access to potable water around the clock by operating independently of the national grid. By harnessing renewable energy, the system ensures continuous supply while promoting environmental sustainability.
Alongside this, the mobile laundry cabin is fully equipped with energy-efficient washing machines and dryers powered by clean energy. Open free of charge from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday, the facility supports hygiene, convenience, and social inclusion for families and individuals in the community.
