Blackburn Rovers Face Lawsuit From Kit Supplier Macron Over Alleged Contract Breach

English football club Blackburn Rovers has been sued by its kit supplier, Macron, after the Italian sportswear brand filed court papers against the Championship club on January 28, alleging a breach of contract.

Details of the claimed breach have not been made public, but the legal action comes as the existing five-year partnership between the two parties approaches its scheduled end this summer. Macron has supplied Blackburn Rovers’ kits since 2021, with the club widely expected to move to a new supplier ahead of the next season.

Despite the dispute, the commercial relationship between Blackburn Rovers and Macron has been regarded as a success. Retail sales linked to the partnership are understood to have almost doubled over the past three seasons, underlining the financial value of the deal for both sides.

Neither Blackburn Rovers nor Macron has issued detailed public statements on the nature of the legal claim or its potential implications for the club’s future commercial arrangements.
