LG Electronics Partners with Ecobank to Make Smart Living More Accessible in Nigeria

LG Electronics Nigeria has partnered with Ecobank Nigeria to bring affordable AI-powered smart home experiences to more Nigerians through flexible financing options. The collaboration, unveiled at the LG Smart TV AI Press Conference held at Ecobank’s Victoria Island headquarters, combines LG’s advanced Artificial Intelligence technology with Ecobank’s Easy Monthly Installment (EMI) payment plan to make premium smart living attainable for more households.

LG showcased its latest AI Smart TV range, including OLED, QNED, NanoCell, and UHD models powered by LG ThinQ AI, a platform that learns user preferences, responds to voice commands, and connects seamlessly with other LG smart devices. The company says this reflects its commitment to delivering a fully connected home experience built around intelligence, comfort, and convenience.

Mr. Choongbae Seok, General Manager, Media Entertainment Solutions, TV Division, speaking at the event.

Mr. Choongbae Seok, General Manager, Media Entertainment Solutions, TV Division, said LG’s mission is to integrate AI into everyday life. “Our AI-powered products are designed to simplify living, enhance comfort, and create a connected lifestyle for our customers. With AI at the heart of our innovation, LG continues to redefine what it means to live smart,” he said.

Through the partnership, customers can now purchase LG Smart TVs and other appliances via Ecobank’s flexible EMI scheme, allowing them to spread payments over time. Dr. Adeola Ogunyemi, Head, Distribution Channels/Sales, Ecobank Nigeria, described the initiative as a step toward inclusivity. “We believe technology should be accessible to everyone, not just a select few. Our partnership with LG is a powerful step toward democratizing smart living by offering flexible payment plans that put premium AI-powered devices within reach of more Nigerians,” she said.

“This collaboration goes beyond financing; it’s about empowering Nigerians to experience the future of living today,” Ogunyemi added. “Together with LG, we are unlocking the potential of AI technology to deliver comfort, convenience, and connectivity to homes across Nigeria, making smart living not a luxury, but a reality.”

Beyond Smart TVs, LG highlighted its broader AI ecosystem, including connected washing machines, refrigerators, and air conditioners, all designed to learn from and adapt to user behaviour, promoting energy efficiency and sustainability.

Reinforcing its global innovation leadership, LG recently won 17 honours at the inaugural IFA 2025 Innovation Awards, including Best of IFA for its transparent wireless OLED TV.

The LG-Ecobank partnership marks another milestone in advancing digital transformation and AI-driven automation in Nigeria, bringing smart living closer to millions of households.
