BBDO Named Network of the Year at 2025 Cresta Awards

BBDO Worldwide has retained its title as Network of the Year at the 2025 Cresta Awards, marking a third consecutive win. AMV BBDO in the UK led the charge with four Grand Prix, while eight offices globally contributed to the network’s overall success.

Serviceplan Group also retained recognition as Independent Network of the Year, while newcomer BigTime Creative Shop claimed Independent Agency of the Year, becoming the first agency from the Middle East to win this global title. The Riyadh-based agency’s large-scale campaigns for Riyadh Season events were highlighted as a key factor in their victory.

For the first time, the Jury Chair Awards, personally selected by Helen Pak, SVP of Creative Marketing, Design and Content at Disney, were dominated by Dentsu Creative offices, an unprecedented achievement for a single network.

Notable campaigns recognised at the awards included History Outnumbered from Spain, using Holocaust survivors’ tattooed numbers to represent rising hate-crime statistics, and New York’s Returning Creativity for Crayola, encouraging parents to nurture creativity in children by reconnecting with childhood drawings.

The Production Company of the Year award went for the third year in a row to Riff Raff Films, boosted by its campaigns Wherever You Go for Telstra in Australia and The Gifting Hour for John Lewis in the UK.

Cresta CEO Lewis Blackwell said the 2025 winners, “… reinforce a key factor about great creativity: building a long-term creative culture is vital for ongoing success. It underpins why we are seeing remarkable, lasting, year-on-year performance from our leading entrants. BBDO took two long-term creativity Grand Prix for clients for Libresse in the UK and AnNahar newspaper in Lebanon which recognised years of awesome innovation in brand-building and effective work being created for those clients."

He also highlighted BigTime Creative Shop: "It's a real marker for how fast and strongly the Middle East creative scene has developed that this Riyadh-based team could win the global independent agency award. We also saw great entries from the likes of Publicis ME, Horizon FCB, and others, while Impact BBDO took a Grand Prix and was an important component in the overall BBDO success. This region is growing so fast in advertising quality," concludes Blackwell.
