Apple has officially confirmed the date for its highly anticipated 2025 autumn event. Scheduled for 9 September at 7 PM CAT / 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT, the launch will take place at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, where it is expected to unveil its next generation of products. The event carries the tagline “awe dropping,” a teaser that suggests major announcements while keeping details firmly under wraps.
At the centre of speculation is the iPhone 17 Air, widely rumoured to be Apple’s thinnest and lightest iPhone to date. Reports have fuelled excitement around everything from its frame materials to battery performance, with many wondering if Apple has managed to keep any major surprises hidden for the launch.
The broader iPhone 17 range is expected to include the standard iPhone 17, the premium iPhone 17 Pro, and the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max. The entry-level iPhone 17 is said to feature a larger 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, marking a significant improvement over last year’s 60Hz screen.
Alongside the iPhones, Apple is likely to introduce updates to the Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3. The Ultra 3 is expected to stand out with a larger display and faster charging capabilities. Apple’s September events also traditionally spotlight updates to its wider accessory ecosystem, meaning new announcements for AirPods and other devices could also be on the agenda.
On the software front, the new iOS 26 has already been showcased at WWDC and is currently available in public beta. The operating system will roll out fully with the iPhone 17 line-up, bringing a host of new features designed to enhance the user experience.
