2023 '#YearOnTikTok' — a celebration of community and recognition of talents in Africa

TikTok has announced its social platform as a global stage for African talent as millions logging in everyday, exuding uniqueness, energy, and enthusiasm. From comedians and dancers to musicians and makeup artists, the site offers a wide range of entertainment that appeals to audiences all around the world.

Year-On-TikTok 2023, according to the video-centric social media app, is more than just a celebration of trends; it enables users to recall their best memories in true TikTok flair. The app has united people from all walks of life via the power of community, generating a sense of inclusivity.

Bianca Sibiya, the head of content operations for Sub-Saharan Africa, delves into the campaign's underlying significance.

"TikTok is a platform that celebrates creativity and brings people together all over the world." Because of its community-driven nature, anyone can become a creator and share their experiences with a worldwide audience,' explains Sibiya.

"'#YearOnTikTok' 2023 establishes new standards for creativity, innovation, and meaningful connection." This project strives to inspire, guide, and empower the next generation of talent by acknowledging top innovators and their influential work," Sibiya adds.
