Celine and Reebok have officially released their highly anticipated eight-shoe collaboration, with the deconstructed Reebok Freestyle Lo collection now available for $750 per pair.
The collaboration, which made its runway debut in June, has quickly emerged as one of the standout footwear releases around New York Fashion Week. However, some sizes are already beginning to sell out following the collection’s launch.
The project reimagines the Reebok Freestyle Lo, an ’80s fitness sneaker with a similar aesthetic appeal to the popular Club C. For the collaboration, Celine has given the classic silhouette a looser, deconstructed upper that reflects the current direction of high-fashion footwear.
The design retains the sneaker’s relatively simple panel construction, while removing Reebok’s traditional side motifs. Celine instead adds its own branding to the tongue tag and backtab, giving the iconic sneaker a distinctly luxury-focused finish.
Celine marked the launch with a New York Fashion Week event in the city earlier this week, where six of the collection’s colourways were showcased.
The Celine x Reebok Freestyle Lo collection is now available through Celine’s website for $750 in women’s sizes. The eight colourways are Optic White, Beige, Peanut, Butter, Dark Brown, Fluo Red, Oxblood and Black.
