Orange signs sponsorship deal for Fifa Women's World Cup 2019

French telecom giant Orange has signed a new partnership with this year’s Fifa Women’s World Cup in France.

Football's world governing body, Fifa filled the sixth and final National Supporter slot for its Women’s World Cup commercial programme, signing up the Orange brand as sponsor of the 4-week tournament.

Starting on June 7 to July 7, the Women’s World Cup will feature 52 matches played by 24 national teams, taking place in France across nine host cities (Grenoble, Le Havre, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes).

Under the deal, Orange will become the sixth and final National Supporter of the tournament, alongside Credit Agricole, SNCF, Proman, Arkema and EDF.

As a National Supporter, Orange will get brand exposure before and during the tournament, access to ticketing and hospitality benefits, and access to co-branded digital content from Fifa.

Following France’s victory at the 2018 men’s World Cup in Russia, this year’s women’s World Cup is expected to draw more interest than ever in France.

As a Major Partner of the French Football Federation since May last year, Orange has already worked with French women’s football stars such as GaĆ«tane Thiney and Amandine Henry.

Orange is currently one year into a four-year deal with the FFF.
