Julia Oku-Jacks To Head LAIF 2017 Jury

Mrs. Julia Oku-Jacks has been appointed as head this year’s award Jury of the Lagos Advertising Ideas Festival (LAIF) Award slated to hold on December 10 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos.



Oku-Jacks, one of Nigeria’s iconic figures in advertising, was part of the three-man team that founded SO&U Advertising, where she worked for years, creating some of the great advertising campaigns that have remained relevant till date. She has since moved on from full-time advertising and now deploys her creative expertise in the oil and gas industry as Head, Corporate Communications at Moni Pulo Limited.

Oku-Jack leads a 9-man team drawn from both the agency and client sides and their work is to determine the best entries for LAIF 2017 which comes up on Other jurors include Pastor Doyin Oluwole, Pascal Anyaso, Tayo Ken-Sulaimon, Omowunmi Owodunni, Yomi Omotenhinwa, Kanmi Dasilva, Dayo Adefila and Yash Deb, a foreign Juror, from Isobar, Kenya.

The pay-off for the 2017 LAIF is, “fresh thinking” a reflection of the determination by the AAAN executive and the LAIF management board headed by Steve Babaeko, CEO X3M Ideas, to strengthen the equity and acceptance of LAIF award.

The jury team was sworn in today by the President of the  Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Mr. Kayode Oluwasona who was clearly excited at the caliber of professionals that have been called up to judge entries.
