Motorola Moto X4: An Elegant, Crispy & Smarter Camera Midrange Device

Recently at IFA in Berlin, Motorola launched its much anticipated mid-range smartphone — the X4. Building on its strong brand heritage, the new moto x is a smartphone crafted for smart, stylish and trendy customers across the world.

Moto X4 Design & Build Quality
Motorola Moto X4 is a truly sleek smartphone, attractive at first sight. This highly reflective aesthetic is in it's own class. The eye-catching sheen attracts fingerprints and the gentle curves, which made it easy to maneuver makes Moto X4 standout. The front and rear consists of curved glass surfaces that are held together by an aluminum bezel that feels stable. Depending on the lighting, the rear shines in assorted colour shades, which we liked a lot when trying out the Moto X4 for the first time.

Moto X4 Display
With a 5.2-inch full HD display and 424 ppi pixel density screen, graphics on the device's Android 7.1 Nougat interface look rich and crisp. The IPS Panel is covered with Gorilla Glass.

Moto X4 Software
The Motorola Moto X4 comes with Android 7.1 Nougat. These include the Moto voice assistant along with the familiar gestures for doing things like turning on the flashlight or starting the camera. Amazon Alexa is integrated right into moto x4 without having to unlock it first.

Moto X4 Performance
The Moto X4 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 and 4 GB of RAM. Depending on the model, it sports 32 or 64 GB of internal storage and can be expanded via a microSD card. During our brief review, the Moto X4 was pleasantly snappy, which is also due to its lean interface. Apps start quickly, and the Moto X4 should not have any extensive problems with more demanding games either.

Moto X4 Camera
Moto X4 features a smarter camera that can do more than just capture photos. It has a dual camera on the rear — a normal lens with a 12-megapixel f/2.0 sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle f/2.2lens and a 120-degree camera angle. The camera can create an artificial depth-of-field (Bokeh) effect that blurs out the background to highlight the subject.

The front comes with 16-megapixel selfie camera, which is plenty of firepower for shareable vanity shots. To capture more light in bad lighting conditions, the images’ resolution can be reduced to 4 megapixels.

Moto X4 Video
Moto X4 supports 4K shots at 30 fps, and up to 60 frames per second at full HD.

Moto X4 Audio
Moto X4 has a wireless sound system equipped with Bluetooth along with technology from the company TempoW. The TempoW Audio Profile (TAP) lets you connect multiple Bluetooth devices at once, allowing you to optionally play music on all or some of them. Your smartphone is used to control which loudspeaker or headphones should be active. Tempow also controls differing latencies and ensured quality sound.

Moto X4 Battery
Moto X4 is powered by 3,000 mAh battery which is sufficient to get the device throughout the day without charging. It can also be recharge quickly through TurboPower. The device has a USB-C port -- the port on must latest devices.

Available Colours

The Moto X4 is available in Sterling Blue and Super Black.
