Schalke Strikes Umbro Deal, Ends 55 Years Adidas Kit Partnership
German Bundesliga football club Schalke 04 has ended its long-standing relationship with Adidas after 55 years -- replacing the kit partner with rival sportswear manufacturer Umbro.
The club on Sunday, June 25, officially announced a deal with the Double Diamond brand Umbro from the 2018-19 season.
The club has also extended a naming-rights agreement for its stadium with the Veltins brewery. The Veltins deal will run for 10 years, through to 2027, while Umbro’s partnership will begin in July 2018, although the length of the agreement was not disclosed.
Veltins will hold the pouring rights at the stadium until 2027.
