2017 Mobile World Congress Kicks Off Today in Shanghai

The much anticipated Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai will kick off today, June 28, 2017 at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). The second edition of four-day event in China will see the launch of some of the new tech innovations into the global market.

As an annual event of the world’s mobile industry, ‘The Human Element’ at MWC Shanghai this year will be a showcase of how a mobile technology-based revolution of new technologies create global opportunities and innovations and reshape the world.


Meetings and conferences will be taking place at the W3 exhibition hall over the three days. In addition to topical presentations, there will be 12 industry summits examining the latest industry trends like Internet Auto, Internet Evolution, AR and VR.

MWC Shanghai will have seven halls at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, including the Industry Hall for business customers and the Experience Hall which will be open for four days from 28 June 28 to 1 July.

In addition to activities like GSMA Innovation City and 4YFN Innovation, there will also be a number of exhibition zones which will showcase the latest futuristic technological developments, like UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), AR and VR and futuristic retail experience.
