BET launches Afridocs across sub-Saharan Africa

Africa’s documentaries are now available every Thursday on BET from Thursday, 6 April at 21:00.

The anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide will screen on Thursday, 13 April with My Neighbour My Killer, a documentary that examines how the people of Rwanda attempt to reconcile after the genocide through an open process of admission and forgiveness.

Also to be screening is 1994: The Bloody Miracle which is a documentary about those responsible for countless deaths prior to the 1994 elections.

On Thursday, 27 April, Soweto, Times of Wrath features the anger of the young and dispossessed and exposes the realities of life for current-day South Africans.

AfriDocs is an African broadcast first – a bold and exciting broadcast stream that sees African and other international documentaries screened across 49 countries of sub-Saharan Africa on a weekly basis.

It is an initiative of the multi-awarded South African documentary production and distribution company, Steps, in partnership with the Bertha Foundation.
