Liverpool owners apologise to fans, scrap ticket hike

American Fenway Sports Group owners of Liverpool has scrapped their controversial plan to increase match ticket at Anfield stadium, apologizing to fans.

On Saturday, Liverpool was leading Sunderland 2-0 when fans at Anfield decided to walkout in protest of ticket prices. Supporters began flowing out of the stands in the 77th minute, angry with some ticket plans that included tickets valued at 77 pounds, which is $111.67.

The incident is the first walkout in Anfield's 132-year history.
