EPL Club Confirm Sale of 25% Stake to American Investment Company

English Premier League Club, AFC Bournemouth have confirmed that a 25% stake in the club has been sold to American company PEAK6 Investments, based in Chicago, furthering the Cherries' links to the United States after visiting the country during pre-season.

PEAK6 founder and CEO Matt Hulsizer has existing sporting interests and experience as a result of his company's minority ownership of NHL franchise Minnesota Wild, for whom he sits on the board of directors.

A Bournemouth club statement explained, "Having established a relationship with Mr Hulsizer over the past 15 months, AFC Bournemouth owner Maxim Demin believes the partnership will further enable the club to deliver long term success, providing strategic insight and international presence and helping secure the football club’s future at the highest level."

Hulsizer and PEAK6 colleague Jay Coppoletta will both join the board of directors at the Vitality Stadium with immediate effect.

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn told AFCB.co.uk, "The club is confident this partnership will further strengthen its ability to compete with the very best, and provide a platform to establish itself as a long-term Premier League club."
