Nigerian Music Rocks On Twitter

The year 2014 has been a remarkable year in the Nigerian music and entertainment industry on twitter. This year, Twitter acted as a real-time soundtrack to the biggest moments Nigeria music and the world as a whole.

With lots of Bangs from Nigerian Music Industry, which trended on twitter, one can’t but emphasize on the uniqueness of some like #Shoki, #Dorobucci #Skelewu, #Etighi, #Limpopo just to mention but few.

#Dorobucci, (the eclectic step and amazing lyrics were produced by Mavin crew under the umbrella of a creative and dynamic producer DON JAZZY. It is widely accepted by Nigerians in diaspora. Upon its release, #Dorobucci received high buzz on twitter. The song has been downloaded more than 12million times thanks to its trending on twitter.

The hash-tag #(Dorobucci) became an house hold name to an extent that people acclimatized/ infuse there names with it. For example, #Doroshola, #Doroade, #Dorostephen and the likes.   

Furthermore, the new dance making waves #shoki has obviously taking the gleam from dance steps like Etighi skelewu, and probably the then proclaimed yahoozee and galala. #Shoki is a dance evolution, accepted by all and very trendy on twitter. This intriguingly interesting dance cut across all tribes in Nigeria, danced by many and sang by few

In as much as #shoki makes the dancer looks like imbecile while trying to twist both legs and arms altogether to one side of your body, it is here to stay.  Both young and old are having fun with the dance step and with various memes coming out, making the #shoki conversation on twitter a necessity for every dance lover. On Twitter, #Dorobucci and #Shoki are hits.

Nigerian musician are not doing bad at all on twitter.
