Nokia Named Mobile Phone Brand of the Year At 3rd Marketing World Awards

Global phone manufacturer, Nokia, has been crowned as the Mobile Phone Brand of the Year at the 2013 Marketing World Awards organized by Nigeria’s highly respected marketing magazine, Marketing World.

Reacting to this development, Managing Director, Nokia West and Central Africa, Nick Imudia, noted that the award is a good representation and recognition of Nokia innovative products which includes its popular Nokia Asha and Lumia smartphones designed for various segments of its ever increasing market.

“We thank our numerous consumers who are passionate and belief strongly in the Nokia brand. It is our promise to continue to connect people through innovative devices that gives them the opportunity to connect and share moments with loved one and friends across the globe”, he said.

Reiterating the relevance of the award, Marketing Manager, Nokia West Africa, Kesiena Ogbemi said “this award validates Nokia’s efforts in reaching out to its customers with the kind of device they produce and how they reach out to the customers especially youths through exciting marketing activations to help them understand what they stand to get using any of Nokia’s devices.

  1. Hmm... But I think Nokia is far behind iPhone and Samsung. Well, for the Nigeria market, I think they are still penetrating with their Lumia range.
